THE BRIEF
18.01CREATIVE worked alongside the Tom Ford in-house design team during the development of the Fall/Winter 2024 womenswear collection. Working within an established luxury house requires an understanding of both the codes of the brand and the creative direction of the season. Our role was to bring senior-level design experience, product knowledge and a highly collaborative approach to the collection development process.

OUR ROLE
Working as an extension of the internal design team, 18.01CREATIVE contributed across the design and development process, from initial research and product ideas through to the refinement of individual garments. Our approach combined creative design thinking with an understanding of construction, fabrication, proportion and fit- helping translate the creative direction into resolved product. The work included research, womenswear design, collection development, fabric and trim consideration, fitting and ongoing product refinement.

THE APPROACH
For us, successful consultancy within an established fashion house begins with understanding rather than imposing. We work within the existing language of a brand- its history, customer, product codes and creative direction- and identify where our experience can add something valuable. For Tom Ford, this meant contributing to a collection in which silhouette, fabrication, proportion and finish were considered together, with the product continually refined through the development and fitting process.

THE RESULT
A collaborative design and development project contributing to Tom Ford's Fall/Winter 2024 womenswear collection. The project reflects the way 18.01CREATIVE works with established fashion houses: integrating with internal teams, responding quickly to evolving creative direction and bringing together research, design and product development to help deliver a coherent final collection.
